well ive been asking alot of questions lately about combine, and the buggy vs helicopter problem and such, well im almost done (just gotta find out what is wrong with the buggy and chopper thing) so i thought i post some pics of it. plz tell me what u think. it is just a cool senario that would have been cool in HL2. im pretty happy with it. there is more to it then that, just i didnt take pics of it, like ther is space to drive and stuff. comments plz

problems:

env_light does not work (aka i have to manualy put in lights...)
sky only works in some parts of the map
some textures are to bright
buggy wount run with helicopter

if some would be so kind as to download the VMF, it would be very much apreciated...
 
Numbzcore how did you get the combine to move around and shoot at you? I followed the AI tutorial (http://www.interlopers.net/content.php?article.109) and the AI would just stand at 1 spot (where I put them when I make the map) and they would spin around to look at me, they would also shout commands to eachother, but I cant get them to move or anything, do you know what my problem might be??
 
i followed that exact totorial and mine worked out fine... did u put in enough nodes? are they on the ground?
 
i like the totally black sky, it makes it feel like its actually night

as for the models being bright, you should just put little lights and light models around to make it look right. Looks good!
 
For the skybox make sure that it is stretched over the whole map, and isn't touching any other brushes. If you send the vmf I might be able to fix it ([email protected])
