Hi I'm new to mods, so how do I play one, can't find an exe to run

i take it you downloaded the mod and installed it and now can't find the startup exe for it? Did you look on the Desktop? What mod wouldn't throw one on the desktop after installation?

Many mods that don't have installers, that's what mod.

If it's a source mod, and you put it in the source mods directory, it should be in your games list.

If it's an HL1 mod, and you put it in the HL1 directory, it should be in your games list.

You are using Steam, yes?
