When HL3 comes out will it replace HL2.net? I really dont want it to switch to site to site. I think that instead of HL2.net it will be HL2.net and at the bottom of the page it will say HL2.net so you can read the posts there and stuff.

Discuiss

by the time HL3 comes out , everyone in this forum died years ago.

1) The topic post hardly makes any sense.
2) Search buttons are friendly :)
3) Your last post scares me.
4) Hm.. come to think of it.. most of your posts scare me o.o

Been discussed to death, I think Munro has other domains, the idea is to move it i think, but the real question is, who gives a ****? :)

Well, assuming Valve doesn't use HalfLife3.net to redirect to their own site and actually lets them use it... I say they should just move the site over to halflife3.net and have halflife2.net redirect you to halflife3.net. What should they do about all of the halflife2.net forum's posts? Well, they could make a locked archive section as part of the halflife3.net forum. That is, of course, if Valve lets them use the domain... since Valve owns it.

Munro should demand the domain from VALVe !

GO MUNRO ! WE ALL WITH YOU

As long as its the same old members and the website generally looks the same......then I really dont mind.

Well... if everyone decides to go to HL3, I'll go to. Just tell me when.

I think we should all be focusing on Half-life 2: Aftermath first. :p

Oh, and Specialmax, there has been alot of threads about this question already (Inculding one I made last year.)

However I can't seem to find them in search. :|

If anything happens it will happen like this and we'll use the same forums.

Halflife3.net - The longest running fan site for Half-life 3.

;(

Realistically speaking, I think that spammers will overrun HL2.net, taking over the entire internet. HL3.net will be a new site founded by the old moderators, one last bastion of hope in a post-apocalyptic internet. Unfortunately it'll be very draconian and 1984esque.

Spammers have already overrun Hl2.net, bumping old threads and generally being spammers.
