This is wierd and i need help please.

Ok i uninstalled hl2 when i did a system wipe and now i have it back on except when i go to play a game all of them bring me to the steam page on buying packages, i cannot play untill i pay 85 bucks for gold edition or whatever amount it is? :/ even HL2 single player it says i have to buy gold edition, i already have hl2 and had it working before...Thanks in advanced

Here is an update...i go to the steam part that has "Package offers" "individual games" and "third party games" i go to the bottom where it says "register a producti already own" and typed my cd key on my cd1 case but it says invalid...i tried it 50 times. I go to "play games" and click any game and it brings me to "package offers" :/ i'm really lost now...btw it said i already had an account but i made a new one anyways to clear things up.

You have to use your old account. Your CD key is bound to the account forever. Just sign into the old account and HL2 will be unlocked

Oh ok thanks...now to remember my password for my old account can i get my pass for my old account? my old and my new are on the same e-mail.

LOL only my 2nd time playing hl2dm and i owned the server :smoking: (i'm a half life noob too...i'm an unreal vet though)
