Holy Hell

I was posting a message about speakers when I hear some strange high pitched noise that sounded like a squeaky fan. I sort of ignored it, but it kept getting louder and louder.

My room is very dark, and I look over to where the noise is coming from and I see this gigantic ****ing thing COMING RIGHT FOR ME.

Took some pictures, however it's true girth cannot be contained in a photo:





This bug will have alien abduction stories to tell it's bug friends.

Any idea what kind of bug this is?

I've lived in rural Florida almost my entire life, and I'm still finding insects around here that I've never seen before.
Gotta love the South. The humidity. The heat. The tropical storms. Large percentage of African Americans. All that's missing are the exotic parasites.

Then it would be just like Africa.
