Warren Spector's rumored Disney-meets-steampunk project "Epic Mickey" is rumor no more, as confirmation and art have emerged by way of online resumes and portfolios.

Some of the Seven Dwarfs lead a beach assault as zombie Goofy looks on.

Coming from the Disney-owned Junction Point Studios, Epic Mickey is being developed for the Wii, going by the resume of current Junction artist Tony Pulham. The resume has since been updated to remove the reference, with "undisclosed title" replacing Pulham's previous mention of "Epic Mickey (Wii Video Game)."

Little else is known of the project--rumors suggest it's a platformer--with Spector having previously cautioned that upon its revelation, fans would vilify the Deus Ex and System Shock veteran, accuse him of selling out, and act "like the world came to an end."

beach assaults and zombie goofys? holy shit this looks awsome

I've been waiting a long while for the next Warren Spector game, only to be disappointed that it won't be the next great CRPG. A game like this is very uncharacteristic of him. I don't mind Disney crossovers, as I enjoyed Kingdom Hearts, but Spector was the one man I was hoping on to make a game that could rival Deus Ex. Perhaps my negativity is unfounded, and it may very well turn out to be GotY material.

Damnit you beat me to it.

But this game seems just a little bit too much for Disney...

I've been watching this. Have you guys seen the concept art? It's crazy.

Phantom Blot holy shit

I saw this the other day on Kotaku I think, ****ing awesome concept art, should be interesting to see how this project turns out. I admit the idea of a weird steampunk Disney game is odd to say the least but it looks promising so far...

Looks promising, sure. I hope it turns out to be a post-apocolyptic Kingdom Hearts, then it will truly be win.

You guys wanna know something? The original design for Kingdom Hearts was to be just Disney characters. The main character was going to be Donald Duck. His weapon? A CHAINSAW.

Disney wanted the game to be about Mickey Mouse (and I guess they didn't really dig the chainsaw), and them and Nomura couldn't come to a compromise so he said "Screw it, here's this kid and some Final Fantasy characters."

But the way this game is looking...just think about that for a moment. Donald Duck. With a chainsaw.

I imagine things like mickey mouse tearing the spine of the dwarfs or whitesnow whit thigh leather outfit fighting a robotic cinderella or something like that

Oh god, that art is amazing. I don't want to add this to my massive 'To Play' list but it looks it's going to end up there.

When i saw this i was like Holy Fxck
But then i saw later that it was for the wii =/

I wanted a Platfrom game like KH for the Xbox360,PC,Ps3
Not some point and click game for the wii =C

An uprising against Mickey by the lesser known Disney characters? Oswald better be there.

To be honest, I would have hoped that it would have been a post-apocalyptic Kingdom Hearts game, then perhaps we could see Tifa getting raped by Zombie-Goofy..

Am I a sick person for wanting to see that?

No, you're Japanese.

Just wait until Princess and the Frog. You won't be asking what happened to Disney after that.

I'm still sceptical. They've put a little too much emphasis on zany sidekick characters in the promotional stuff, and Randy Newman is in charge of the music. That makes me tired just thinking about it.

After Warren Spector said he didn't understand Thief and then watered it down to a soggy turd, I lost hope for his future games.

Dr. Facilier will change your opinion, guaranteed.
Since cinema tickets just keep going up and up, can you refund me my entry fee if I think you're wrong? Also the price of the tickets for any female-friends and/or nephews / nieces I have to convince to come with me?

Oh, and a congressional level apology for the delay in the release of Up in the UK would be appropriate. Where's the beef?

He didn't create Thief in the first place? I thought he had something to do with its creation before sneaking away to set up his wing of Ion Storm?

Sorry, my guarantees aren't money-back guarantees. They're more of the "You better agree or I'll argue with you on the internet" guarantees.

According to the wiki page on Warren Spector, he "worked briefly on Dark Camelot, which later became Thief: The Dark Project."

Sounds like this involvement was minimal and I know I've read somewhere he didn't "understand Thief" in some previous article I read a couple years ago.

I will point out that despite any issues with Thief - which is a pretty complex game - Mr Spector also worked on System Shock 1, and Deus Ex - two of the finest computer games ever made.

They also confirm it's Wii only.

Watch as the thread empties.

I'll still be interested in this, just to see where it goes. I'm a huge Disney fan, and all of this seems much different. Can't wait for more details to surface.

when I first saw the cover I immediately thought:
