Holy Shit.. THE REFLECTION CUBEMAPS RUIN CS:S GRAPHICS
I walk through a level and I always see crappy reflections off of walls that come from magical unknown light sources and the reflections of everything is not real time.. it looks so horrible...

I know you guys are going to be like OMFGOMFGO FPS?!%?!%!^@#^@

But shoudnt there be even freaking support for enabling real-time reflections for those of us who have nice computers?

I know real-time reflections are possible because of the real reflections you see in the water of chateau , where you can actually see the reflections of moving player models and everything
 
It looks better with cubemaps than without them....
And i would guess there would be an huge performence hit with real-time reflections on everything that uses cubemaps (or watever it is), becuse almost everything is using it (walls, floors, items etc.).
 
lol cubemap... hang on, is there actually something called a cubemap?
 
a cubemap is a refletion set on an object such as the scope on the AWP.. how it changes reflections from where your located on the map. VERY HARD to explain. Just play CSS and look at your scope on the AWP and DONT TURN..just run straight. but look at the reflection the whole time.

Its kinda like a set camera that is projected on a surface (not realtime)
 
haha, you should read the "CS:S complaints thread", go there and stop posting new threads without looking first. It makes Chris_D annoyed :p.
