Hooking up a gamecube w/o Dig. output to LCD monitor

I just bought a cube without the digital output and was wondering if I could still hook it up to my LCD monitor. I am a complete noob at this and know virtually nothing except that I will have to use the standard cube cables. Dude, it's so not worth it. It uses a 640x480 resolution. Play a game on that resolution and see if that's what you want to play GC at.

CRT is better for Gamecube.

Mine is hooked via S-VIdeo cable to my LCD... it doesn't look bad... not as good as component to TV though.

I am split between s-video and component cables (the hd ones right?) My question is this: will I be able to play games without progressive scan through the component cables and will they look any better?(bear in mind I will be using a VGA converter box and am not all that intersted in steller 480p resolutions.)
