ok my hostages in css dont follow me.

do i have to do somthing to make them follow me in game?

press the action key on them.

Default is "E"

yeah i have done that but they start to follow then stop

they dotn seem to be... they will start to follow then they will just stop..

also when i add bots they just look on direction and move around a little.
do i need to add in navigaion points for the bots and hostages
?

Yes, you need navigation files for custom maps. They should generate automatically and work fine if the map isnt too complex though.

you must put ground notes in your map wich the hostages can follow. but you have to place them the right way for example you cant do this:
---------|
O
----| |
| O |

if the groundnotes( in this case the O's) cant see eachother they wont work
so you will have to place them like this:
------------|
O O |
-------| |
| O |

i hope you understand it, you just have to place them from the hostages to the rescue- zone, make sure you cover each path you can take

Common misconception.

Hostages use the same navigation mesh that bots use. Nodes are completely unused in multiplayer.
