How can I get to play my games offline?

I can log into steam on "offline mode", my account data is saved on my pc, my games are 100% updated.

Even when in offline mode, my games have "100% - ready" as it's status.

But, whenever I try to start a game/mod, i just get an error "Steam can't perform this action while in offline mode".

With recent problems with my router, I sometimes can't access the internet, which means that I cant play any steam games.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

it's a little trick
1. update steam fully
2. open the 4 core games one at a time - hl1, hl2, hl2dm and css
3. Boot - do not close steam
4. You are now ready to play offline!
Warning this has to be done every time you update steam online

well, I've had this problem too... but it was online... and it said i cant prefor offline... so i was like... ok... im online ssstarrrtt- NOW- did nothing... deleted clientregistry.blob... update... f**k update faster... there we go... woot! i play game now!
