My spec is in the sig... Im running at 1024*768 with all settings on Medium. FRAPS says im on 30fps but it goes down to 15 when theres alot on screen. I've tried lowering the settings even more but then it looks really sh1t!

Are there any drivers I could use or some sort of software to boost performance? I have the 167.44 BETA drivers installed. Ive heard about this 'Dual Core Affinity' thing, could that be a factor here?

Please help, I'm not enjoying this game as it should be played :-(

Your PC is better then mine in most departments and mine runs at around 50 fps.

Maybe you've got too much background crap running.

Turn OFF that thing called 'high post processing' or something like that and turn ON 'Force Global lightning.'

Thanks the game is running smoother 80% of teh time.... just when 3+ splicers on screen it begins to get choppy... get me an 8800GTS!!

hey man, it happens...gaming is an expensive hobby. There are alot of people who would get 30FPS and not care, but personally, if im below 50 the game is almost not even fun

do yourself a big favor, get a 8800 and a quadcore

Cant afford a quadcore, I just upgraded to 2gigs of ram and an Opty 180 two weeks ago, the 8800GTS will be here soon I hope.. ready for Crysis demo :-)

Look at the ground a lot
Superb advice.

I'm building a new rig right now to play it suitably with a quad core (Q6600) and 8800 GTS 620mb card, the lengths we must go to for some decent visuals... D:

Im on the level where u have to take a pic of a spider splicer... its getting really chuggy now :-( spoiling the game. I might just not play it until I get my 8800GTS
