i know that it can be done, but i need a program that will allow me to play my xbox on my computer. i have a Geforce 6200 with the video in and everything, i just need the damn program so i can enjoy the xbox from the comfort of my compy chair...could someone please help?

You have to get the adapter for the xbox from the store. Im not sure what it is called but they will know! hope this helps you out a little bit :)

Or a TV tuner will work fine. Make sure it's a PCI tuner though, as many USB tuners have about 1 second of lag.

alright, am i supposed to have a program (like something to actually play my xbox on the monitor)? i have all the hardware i need i just need the damn software

i plug my box into the video in of my graphics card, turn the box on, what is a program that i could use to show me the video that is streaming from the xbox?

Don't NVIDIA cards have a control center like the ATI cards?

It's called winTV or something. Included with TV tuner card.

Are you talking about an emulator for the xbox? or just to hook up the xbox to the computer....

Check on the cds that you got with the video card or go to the maker website, there is surely a program on them. If your card is an asus the program is called asus digital vcr II, its what I use for my fx 5600 composite video in.

For the original xbox if you wanted to hook your xbox up to your monitor with a decent connection you had to spend a few hundred to get an adapter. This is a pretty good deal for those who have sweet monitors but shitty TVs.

http://x2vga.com/

A bit expensive but it'll let you enjoy your xbox in all it's semi-HD glory without any lag or having your comp on.

Good point...maybe he did mean the original.

He didn't specify so I assumed with the 360 rage that is what he meant.

Lik-sang.com is an exccelent place to go for this kind of thing. I believe what you want is a vga box and you can find them for a reasonable price at that site. Hope that helps

Loser...well what was posted above for the original will work pretty well...or just use a TV!

but i just want to sit in my corner and play xbox or compy whenever...instead of going from the compy room to the other room...got annoying after a few months

Pff quit your whining!

Bring the TV into your room! I am guessing it is larger and has decent quality at least. Youl want that over your smaller monitor.

its only a 12" tv...and my monitor is 17"...and i dont have enough to buy a new tv right now

Once you've connected it to the monitor, won't you somehow have to connect it up to the speakers?

well i want to hook it up to my video card, and i could hook up the sound to my sound card

If it's just a 12" TV, just move it into the one room, ffs.

um, you can't connect it to your pc at all (except for media centre uses), though there are vga adapaters for the xbox1 & xbox360, so you can connect it a normal pc monitor.

so, how do you 'know' that it is possible to connect it to your video card, and what would the purpose be (besides having it run on a monitor, which you can do with the above mentioned vga adapter).
