How come?

How come there is so much darn lag?
I ping like 151 with no other progs running on a very fast connection.


When i am lookin for the servers it tells me im pingin about 14-15...

I had a ping of 19-28 for 2 hours on a europian server, then we had a 5 second lag spike, then played another hour, then went to find food, overall im finding it smooth as 1.6. You must either have a really poor connection with steam, or the servers your trying to connect to are having personal problems.

I have been to over 10 servers which are all about 20 mins drive from me...

I ping about 10 when i see them on the list but when i connect its horrible.
