if they remade the original game " red faction" on the source engine... im sure it would work so well, has a similar feel to it as Hl2 and it is an awesome game!

discuss?!
 
Source isn't really built for this type of dynamic terrain distruction, for a number of reasons.

But yeah, RF with source-style graphics would be cool. On the U3Engine would be VERY cool though.
 
Well, this'll probably be moved before too long, but...

Yeah, it would be pretty cool ofr terrain deformation. I imagine it's insanely hard to implement without affecting the gameplay too much, but if anyone can do it it's Valve.
 
Didn't valve say at one point thats its quite easy to mod in or something?

EDIT: ok well i guess they;ve said that about alot of things
 
i was thinking more about the story line, and the gameplay itself... it was a very familure style to what half life 2 is
 
Didn't Gabe Newell say TF2 (Which is on Source) will have Red Faction esque deformable terrain?

Gabe said a while ago that Team Fortress 2 will have dynamic terrain. I'm not sure if there still doing it.
