How do i filter out all the plug in cs servers???

I'm sick to death of A: Waiting for all the plug in crap on ego infested servers to download before i can play. And B: stupid sound effects and visuals.

Why isn't there an option in the filter to have only pure servers loaded?

I'm sure this has been discussed already but i lost my steam pass for my HL2 so only just got back playing after ages. Please let me know if there is a way to filter out the crap.

use: cl_downloadfilter "nosounds"

theres other filters but im not sure what they are.... that'll help

now, i don't wanna sound too much of a noob but where do i type that. If it's in the console then do i have to type it each time i start the game?

Anyone else know how i block eeeeeeeeverything?

no you don't have to retype it if you create an autoexec.cfg

I followed the directions but i still get gay sound effects and graphics in some servers.
