I am trying to reinstall Red Alert from Windows 95, and it will not allow it to install. It gives me the message that its running on a Win5.1 system and is only allowed to run on Win95 then it closes out.

EDIT: Nevermind. I had to go explore the CD and make the setup run in Win95 compatibility mode.
EDIT: It won't run. It gives me some error that it is missing a file in the KERNAL. Something like that.

Unrelated problem to the one above.
EDIT: Red Alert 2 is acting a fool. I cannot connect to more than 1 person in game. I connected to bryanf445 and then I can't connect to the other person. This keeps happening. I can 1v1, but when it comes to getting more than 2 people playing, I can't connect to the other guy. What the hell is the problem here?

Same thing happened to me trying to run Sonic CD, no freaking clue what is wrong cuz even after I copy + pasted the necessary kernals and crap, the final problem that came up was that send or not send error report thing, which doesnt go away no matter how many times I tried it.

If I had any games that wouldn't run on XP, I'd make room for a small partition and dual boot with that old OS.

I like seeing Windows 95 every now and then, anyway :p

Edited first post with another problem.

Bah, nevrmind this post. Seems you edited the post again.

I dont think it will (i've had a number of friends say it won't).
There is a new C&C pack in the store though that was redone with Red Alert so it can run on XP.

DosBox. Google it. That is just one program that might help. There are others.

Or ask Will Smith.

I'm not touching DosBox until it reaches version 1.0 or at least user friendly.

The program is worst than the whole of DOS, but I respect the people doing it. That is one thing that Microsoft will never attempt, because they prefer the mainstream

I don't want to install Red Alert now. All I want to do is figure out why I cannot play with three people on Red Alert 2, or at least this one person. I can play with more than 2 sometimes. I don't understand it.

Help. :(
