How do similar desktop and laptop speeds compare?

If I didnt phrase that right I mean something like, Will a 2.4ghz laptop run the same as a 2.4ghz desktop? Same thing with graphics cards and memoryh adn stuff?

Laptops don't use the same vid cards as desktops, but thats about all I know, the speeds would prolly be the same but plz get better information than just from me.

i would think the laptop would be a bit slower, not sure though.

I would guess clock speeds would be different... and everything a tad less powerfull

so far, the most powerful commercial laptop vid card is a 9600 Go 64mb, so it is slower than desktops

i have a system that is about the same spec as my laptop 1.6amd and most of the other bits of hardware in them system are the same and my laptop is so slow at running loads of stuff! think they just cant handle that much compaired to a desktop pc
