How do you add BOTS??

I was just playing CS:S and a strange thing happened after awhile of playing. I pressed tab to look at my score and what do I see for ping? I see 4 people in each team having a ping that says BOT. So how do you add bots in your game?

I might be wrong, but I think they are only available atm with the warez'd version of CS:S :/

Hope VALVe adds them soon to the normal CS:S.

Why would they not enable the bots...it makes no sense.

add_bot but it says something about it being beta or something. Ive heard there are programs out there you can download to add bot but i never got that much into it.

i have the full version..

it says when i type bot_add

it says "not available in beta" which is strange because it isn't the beta. it is the full thing.

Amaybe valve are waiting for when they release the full game or something.

Oh noes! They neglected to change a string that had the word "beta" in it!

The bots aren't currently implemented because Valve decided not to. There's any number of reasons why that could be.

maybe. but on here there is someone with the leaked version that HAS the bots. wierd that valve didn't add it in the full version we have.

i think either a PATCH
or waiting till the release of hl2

Or because Valve didn't feel that the bots were good enough to be included in this release.

I'm not saying any of this is conclusive proof, but it sure is suspicious. Notice the name of the .dll file CS:S loads up upon starting (it's in the console).

Isn't that just a bit odd? Couple that with the lack of maps, bugs, lack of bots, lack of models, and overall incomplete feel.

Not anymore. All the people did was change a small thing. I'm sure anyone could do it. The bots are there, just need to be activated...
