How do you change positions in a vehicle?

Yeah....? How do you do it? Can you even? Im sure you can because ive seen others do it, but it's not done by pressing the numbers for positions now.

its the F1 F2 F3 F4 keys instead of 1 2 3 4 etc

I use the keys to be a one person Humvee crew, I drive, then pop in the turret, shoot someone, pop into the drivers seat, speed off, then pop into the back, fire a rocket, pop into the drivers seat etc... very hectic but also fun

Heh, I do the same. I also hop into APC's with someone else driving and use those side machine guns.

Its hard though, because I get confused spatially as to which gun I'm on in relation to the enemy I'm trying to attack as the vehicle moves.

That and the APC is like a rocket magnet on wheels

now that thats out of the way .. is it just me or are the plane controls all weird ? up is up and down is down ..wasnt it inverted in bf1942 ? or am i just being silly?

The arrow keys are normal (inverted) but the mouse isn't. That really threw me off the first time I used the mouse to fly a jet.

yeah but you can pop smoke and it usually takes 2-3 rockets to take you out.

this is also the first game I have played where an APC really is used as an APC. my squad constantly uses them to get from location to location, and garnering a bunch for armored assaults.

it's also great to drive one around as a squad leader since they seat 6, and your entire squad can sit in them (and cover ALL angles around you), protected from small arms and sniper fire.. but still be able to dish some damage back with their machine guns.

it's amazing how well this game has been designed.


as for inverting controls, you can invert mouse on all control schemes, just tick the box. (you can invery infantry, and not invert boats for example) I have all my mouse settings inverted.
and inverting controls on the keyboard, just switch the up and down keys in options for that control scheme set.

i tried mouse flying. it sucked. so i went back to my keyboard
