How do you get a video featured on youtube?

i've searched the sight pretty thoroughly and can't find anything on it. BTW, featured means getting someone to up your vid on the front page.

PS: im kinda a newb when it comes to this stuff in general, so be understanding.

alot of views for starters...they sometimes pick people to put videos on the page....other times whoever is in charge of hosting videos probably looks at the most viewed ones at that time and picks
