I have registered my cd key, Hence I can play HL2

But is there a way to find out what it is? I need it just in case, because I lost the cd key on paper, but If I registered it, shouldn't it be saved somewhere?

Just remember your Steam account details, as you can always play HL2 as long as you have access to your Steam account.

To clarify: Your CD Key is related to your Steam Account. What's on the CD is a) the key, verifying you *bought* the thing, which ties it permenantly to your Steam account. So just remember your Steam account.

AGH!

You guys don't get it.

I NEED THE ACTUAL CODE! Like 98983129832 that <<<

Does steam have the "code" Stored somewhere?

There is also another reason why I need it, I somehow got banned from playing online. I think my brother did something, so I need my code so I can use the key changer(Changes key codes, don't worry, It's legal, and its not a generator)

No, you cannot. If you have been banned from VAC servers, you will have to buy a new key. This so-called "Key changer" is either:
A) ILLEGAL
B) A program designed to steal your CD-key / Account

haha, a key-changer. sorry buddy, due to your 'brother' cheating online, you'll have to go and buy another copy of the game.

keychangers for valve games don't exist. It's obviously an account stealer.

BAAAAHAHAHAHAHA! As well as all the obvious ways that you failed in this thread, did you ever stop to think about how exactly a key-changer would be able to change your key? Most games have the key stored on your PC - no problem for a little pirate / cheater to change with a key-changer. But Valve games now have the CD key LOCKED to your Steam account, which is stored on STEAM / VALVE servers. For a key-changer to change a Valve game CD key, it would have to be able to HACK INTO THE STEAM / VALVE SERVERS. How much do you want to bet that your little key-changer cannot do that??? AHAHAHAHAHA. It's more likely a trojan or some other nasty thing, made for people that don't have a clue.

Thanks for the laugh.

Mein gotts, buy new account. Send your brother to Arizona as punishment. > >
