When you listen to music on your computer, do you listen to random tracks or entire albums at a time?

Depends.
I might stick on an album, then pick and song, play it about 5 times, pick anothet song, then go back to an album etc etc

Since about April last year, I've listened to albums. Nothing but albums.

I'll hunt down songs in my playlists and play them once or twice each time. Usually i slap on an album depending on what mood im in, play 5 or 6 songs depending on the album itself (some albums get shite at the end), then move on.

Bit of both actually. I play specific genre playlists more often though.

Pick and choose, often will just go for all stuff by one particular artist :D

Usually albums, since they flow a lot better than do random songs.

i usua,y l l.isten to random tracks. some albums that i like like bob dylan smodern times or massive attacks ?100 window

I go through my player and pick songs, same for when I'm listening to my MP3 player. Random comes up with too much crap sometimes.

Open WMP
search "ska"
hit play
hope I have 100 free hours

It's sorted by album, and I just go down the list.

Not if you don't collect crap music :)

Without being big-headed here, it's hard for me to avoid it as I like to think of myself as open to any music, be it by recommendation, general knowledge or a spure of the moment thing. I don't delete much music because who knows when it may come in handy or when I may get an urge to listen to it sometime?

So few albums contain all good songs... and I've so many different albums in my collection. I wonder if the spread would follow age? I remember a time when there was no random besides time-consuming mix tapes or the radio. I also remember an exhiliration when I was finally able to let the music bounce around my collection on its own whim. (Anyone else here have an 8-track recorder back in the day?)

Like someone said before, there are very few albums (that I've listened to) that contain no filler :)

I normally pick and choose songs, listen to full albums or just put one track on repeat if I'm currently obsessed with it.
