Seems like a good budget system. It will last you about 1,5 to 2 years max, gamingwise, me guesses.

Looks like it'll give you a real boost in performance. I like the X1950PRo. That is a great video card. I was reading the comments about the mobo. Seems like people are having memory issues. Might want to flash the Bios like others have advised doing. I also read about that problem on another site awhile back.

Do you have your heart set on an AMD based system? Regardless of which brand you go with, I would advise you to spend a little more and get a CPU that has at least 1mb L2 cache per core rather than the 512kb that the one you are looking at has.

Yeah, I read about the memory issues, too. I'm upgrading from a ASUS p4p800SE with a p4 3.0 , x850pro agp system. I mainly play source games, (valve games in general), so i wasn't upgrading with DX10 in mind. The system I will be building will thrash my p4 computer badly. I'll get an nvidia 8 series after it drops a bit. Theres alot of room for upgrades on the board, im not to worried.

I'd like to be able to have gone with c2d, but my budget is very limited. as it is im about 100 bucks above my orignal planned bugdet. :rolling:
