How exactly does this free download to make games faster work?

I bought Warrior Within and it wasn't a disappointment, it was worth my ****ing money and I also recieved a little card inside. On the back of the card, it said, " Find out about a free to optimize Intel motherboards for faster game play at intel.com/go/gaming."
How exactly does this work? I been to the site, but it doesn't have a lot of information and I'm not exactly sure what to download. Are there any gimmicks and obligations and etc...?
And does this actually make my games run faster or am I missing something here?
