SINCE MODS AREN'T WORKING i have tried everything to get my CS working, i figured something was up with some stupid crap that valve didn't take into account when forming the update
changing this folder name
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\[UserName]\counter-strike source\cstrike\addons
to RENAMEDaddons fixed my problem, and CS started up right away, i reversed everything else i've done and right now my CS is finally working and the only fix i've used is changing the folders name
this is probably what everyone who has adminmods, nemo, or any kind of admin or mod thing going on..... would also explain a lot of servers being down cuz they most have admin mods
