im really confused? i usually watch the news on many stations but i really dont see any difference between fox and other news stations. so can anyone point out how fox is conservative?

Fox News, as I have read from people on various forums, is a brainwashing tool of the government.

I don't know, I don't watch it.

Many of the news presenters are known to be conservative along with a few of the writers (one is a cousin of Bush I think). Fox News’ Tony Snow is the Bush Admin's Press Secretary. So as you can see, he has pretty good ties with Fox News.

I for one don't watch much news now'n days on tv. I get most of it from online.

CNN "Clinton News Network" now that would be hard to make a case for being conservative

Lets look at the primetime line up for Fox news, maybe this will help you:

Bill O'Reilly on the O'Reilly Factor 8pm

O'Reilly Jokes That Jerry Springer, Now A Host Of A Liberal Radio Talk Show, Should have been killed by a hitmat.

While constantly smearing every liberal he can find Bill has the odocity to say that Rush was unfairly targeted. Hello Bill, he broke the terms of his probation. But I guess if you are a rich white republican you should be able to do anything you want.

O'Reilly syas liberal leaning Jon Stewert show is only watched by stoned kids. He forgot to mention that a recent study showed Jon's viewers were far more educated than his own viewers

The above was taken just from last week.

Hannity & Colmes - 9pm

Hannity repeated false claim that Reagan oversaw "longest period of peacetime growth

http://mediamatters.org/items/search/200607070006

Fox News hosts and guests touted discredited report that WMDs were found in Iraq

Hannity claimed ABC might suggest Hitler's death would cause "more harm than good," added that CNN is bin Laden's "favorite channel"

Fox Report With Shepard Smith

Fox's Smith announced Plame lawsuit by uncritically airing Novak's dubious denial of a "concerted" Bush administration effort against Wilson

Fox News failed to ID another Republican caught up in a corruption scandal

Only on Fox: Special Report teaser announced that "John Roberts's records" had been "seized"

Brit Hume (I dont know, nor give a shit when he is on)

Good Morning America and Special Report aired nearly identical, misleading reports on Plame lawsuit

Wallace, Hume attacked Democrats, misled on Democrats' domestic agenda, Lewis corruption scandal

On Special Report, Hume selectively quoted Sen. Clinton to portray her as laudatory of Bush

I could go on and on and on and on but I have work to get back to. Search yourself at http://mediamatters.org

hey man long time no see! good to have you back

/me waves

give the guy a break ..if you feel that strongly why not just debate him instead? there's no more effective way of silencing someone then by proving them wrong

Well, I'm certainly not about to argue against him on this issue, because Fox News is conservative.

well that explains alot since i didnt even know fox had a whole channel dedicated to news(i have no cable or satelite i live off good old antenna and 7 channels) but i dont think fox normal news is that conservative

I didn't know I was such a legend around here :). I am not going to be posting as regularly as I used to, so don't worry my arrgoant Bush supporting friends :cheese:.

I have a lot of projects on my plate right now so I've been trying to stay away from all this political bullshitting, its like crack to me. Just wanted to check up on you all, good to see you guys again (yes, even you angry lawyer and Icarusintel).

It is always nice to see old faces show up again. Honestly just seeing Cpt. Stern around as the sole main voice for the liber, Bush-hating side has been a bit boring. ;)

So, welcome back, I look forward to some new, informative posts.

Oh, and I guess I forgot to mention my earlier post was sarcastic, in case anyone missed that.

heh I find it funny that you'd call me a liberal bush-hating ..I'm non-partisan ...the dems have many crimes to answer for as well

I'm a centrist, so I can dish out equal HATEHATEHATE to everyone.

Stern stayed around here the whole time, damn, I feel bad for ya buddy.

See, I promised myself I would just check in, now I posted 3 replies to this post and replied to 3 other topics. I need rehab quick.

Hmmm... while that may be true, you certainly seem to spend an awful lot of time going after Bush and Republicans rather than the Democrats.... :afro:

actually it was slim pickings for awhile ..most of the staunchest neo-cons have left or rarely participate in debates

well ...I could point out that "if the shoe fits ..."

however this war/war on terror/occupation was initiated by the neo-cons ..naturually most of my criticism would be leveled at them

Tr0n and AL should star in a buddy cop movie.

They could have that scene where they're in the car and they keep switching the radio and getting pissed at each other. Tr0n wants country and western because he's from the south and AL wants Jackson Browne/Bon Jovi. Cue hilarious consequences!

Ahem. Hi no limit. :p

Topic?

BECAUSE IT IS SILLY AND DISTORTS YOUR VIEW OF REALITY BY CHOOSING WHAT TO SHOW AS NEWS.

ALSO BILL O REILLY

Then I'd bitch slap him and say "You never touch a black mans radio, bitch!".

Ahhh... No Limit. Hello pet. Grovel for your master.

No no, no no no no, no no no no, no no THERE'S NO LIMIT!

You shifted a little? Really? Damn, nice job stern. Welcome to the sane circle, how you liking it so far?

Well first of all... Stern had little to do with it. Second of all... i'm not in the same circle. To be in the circle i'd have to share the same politics, which I don't as far as I know. I've just changed my opinion about a few things here and there.

Watching Fox in the last few weeks, kinda proves they are atleast biased.'
blind support for Isreal, using words like "pro-life" and so forth.I still watch it thoe.
Its just that I dont agree with most of the stuff they talk about on shows like the "Factor" and what not.

meh "little" is better than nothing ;) :E I'll take that as a victory (albeit minor) ..now on to my next project: Operation Convert Gh0st :naughty: (I think it's a hopeless cause)

You think too highly of yourself. You just posted a link :hmph:

:p

Aye, and 50% of them are that picture with a burger shop ad erected in a crater that is Iraq. :p

During the 04 elections, I noticed that many of the reporters on Fox would sort of giggle and "feel bad" for "poor John Kerry" while taking a very serious and hopeful tone when speaking about Bush. Since then, not only have I seen all the shit that has been mentioned thus far, but I have ALSO seen a studio audience for a news show featuring a debate where the f-cking studio audience would clap and cheer quite loudly any time anything republican was mentioned. Any time any sort of democratic argument was made in response, it was followed by vicious booing. I don't think that is f-cking legal.

Heh... like Bill Maher's show? It's the opposite when they're in their having debates.
