how long does compiling take?

I'm just wondering, because whenever I click run, and set the stuff up according to the guide, and hit ok, a text box thing pops up and will stay there with:

"** Executing...
** Command: Change Directory
** Parameters: "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\sourcesdk"


** Executing...
** Command: Copy File
** Parameters: "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\sourcesdk\cstrike_sample_content\maps\firstmap.vmf" "\firstmap.vmf"

"


Is that all that should show up? Because it is not creating a bsp for me

I'm having the same problem it won't create a bsp.
