yeah ... its anoying this new registration thingy ... i cant get any window to load up, not the game ... not even steam ... WTF IS GOING ON ... i upgraded my machine to athlon 3500xp with X800 XT just for this game ... and it does not even PLAY!!! GRRRRR

Ditto, been trying since lunctime yesterday. I also upgraded just for this game. FFS we can send ppl into space but we cant make a friggin game work! I for one have better things to do.

same problem...installed,reinstalled....upgraded...downloaded newest driver......nothing.....i start steam..and..nothing...any connection, i can't create any stupid account!I cant star any f******g game! I really hate Valve for this!
They create one of the best game in teh world...but we can't play it!!!!!!!!!

15 minutes after my post i finally got hl2 working, this included reinstalling 4 times and a complete format of my HDD, but it was worth it!

I finally managed to update Steam, now when I click on it nothing happens then I get some crappy error message.. Valve, you've disappointed everyone so badly- why couldn't you just keep it f*cking simple instead of forcing everyone to connect to Steam
