How Long?

just bought HL2...installed on my pc....didnt have internet connection so had to run line from kitchen to bedroom....signed up with Steam....waiting....waiting....waiting....how long does it take for the sob's to email me and activate my account....if i had known it was such a hassle to play a game....i would have bought anther instead of HL2. not making friends here.....lots of buyers dont have internet either.....lost sales....doom3 sold out in a flash......lots of HL2 just sitting on the counter.....wonder why?

Took 1.5 hours from first putting the DVD in my drive but that is on dial up. I do feel sorry for anyone wanting to play HL2 that does not have a net connection, and it is not possible for everyone to to use a connection in another location. HL2 is well worth playing though and all the shops in my area have sold out.

This is only my own view regarding Doom 3 played the demo didn't make me want the game at all, not putting it down at all its just not for me.
