I think it would be interesting to have a poll to see how many people around here can speak more languages than just English. A lot of members around here are from non-English speaking countries, so I was just wondering how many people can speak other languages.

Just vote for every language that you are fluent in, and can hold a conversation with. (Don't say "French" if you took it in High School) Crappy poll only goes up to 10 options, though, so don't be offended if your language isn't listed. Also, wait for the poll before you yell at me. ;)

You can vote for more than one language, and I'm expecting for everyone to at least vote for English. ;)

I am fluent in 6,000,356 languages.
Yes, I can speak Huttese as well.

Now I feel stoooopid, I can only speak Eng and Spa...

who can speak swahili(sp?) :P

English, German and Swedish. Danish and Norwegian kinda comes with if you know Swedish, so I'm not gonna count those. You should've added Dutch to the poll as well, maybe instead of Arabic?

Arabic accounts for A LOT more people than Dutch, I would think...

I used the 8 most popular languages plus Arabic and Other. :)

Fluent in 3 languages English, Punjabi and French. Learnt German for a year until my German teacher passed away, although I'm not fluent in German. Oh, and I know a bit of Hindi.

Swedish, English, Finnish

In order of how well spoken

i know a bit of spanish and german in addition to english

that's right, they DID leave out piglatin.

I also know Gibberish. or should i say gibthegiberthegerishthegish.

I think as long as you know the bad words in these languages, you qualify as knowing the language, that way everbody wins!

I'll have you all know that I speak fluent spanglish...

Si man, that hombre is a total tirón...

Where do you live, Åland? How else can you speak Swedish better than Finish?

Spanish as first language, English since I was I kid (easiest and simplest language of the world), German because I lived in Munich for a while and my wife is German, Japanese I took 4 years however I am not as fluent as I used to be, and I am taking intensive lessons of French right now because I am moving to Montreal next month, I think I will master French pretty quickly it’s a lot like Spanish…

Hmm... 1.01, if you factor in the single phrases I know in other languages :o

Despite having distant ties in *deep breath*; Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Italy, Russia and Germany, I can't speak anything other than English. Oh, and my dad's in Spain, but I can't speak Spanish or Gaelic or German or anything. It's so sad :(

English alittle french (from school) and a real smidgen of Swedish which i havent continued with... because... i still havent got a swedish keyboard !

English, fair bit of Spanish. Not enough to get by.

Enough to be fluent in Spanglish (Yes, sounds dumb and is popularized because of that stupid movie, but it is seriously is at least useful here where I live :p. And when your grandma goes in and out of Spanish when pissed it's funny to understand )

English, French, Spanish, a lil Japanese n of corse Bristolian!!

Korean, English, Chinese (can only read a few), 1337

English, 1337 I guess....and I know enough French and Japanese to get around if I was ever in either of those countries. (I didn't check those because I assume you mean speak fluently)
