How many times have you finished Half-Life, Opposing force and Blue Shift?

I know that this isn't really abput HL2, but it would be fun to know.

I have Opposing Force but never made it very far, I have to do that sometimes...

Once each. What's wrong with Xen by the way? I enjoyed the Xen levels. Not quite as much as the Black Mesa ones but they weren't that bad. Not bad enough to make me quit playing.

I usually play hrough HL perhaps once every two months, up until you enter the lambda complex proper (the broken lift). After that, it's a bit dull.

Yeah, I tried re-completing it before, came all the way to Xen but got bored.

Finished Half-Life about... hmmm 3-4 times.. maybe more, because we're talking over the space of a few years, not one attempt after another.

I stopped counting, I have beat all of them several times except for OpFor because I only beat that 2 times, i didnt like it very much. But wow, everyone must be just as bored as me.

depends on what you mean by "beat", i've beaten the last boss at least 27 times, but i've only went through the entire game about once

Half-life 3 times, opposing force 3 times and Blue Shift twice.
Also Decay twice, with a friend.

Xen was cool, it was nice to get outdoors for a while - and see the aliens in a more natural environment.

i never got a chance to get my hands on decay, i'm a very big hl fanatic so....is it worth it?

Imho HL was far too easy even on hard setting. I could hardly see a difference to easy/normal
HL & Op4 at least 3 times both. Blue Shift only once because I don't have it (played at friend's place)

Probably worth it if you have a PS2, since you can sell Playstation games back to lots of stores. Decay is also best if you have a friend to play it with - many of the puzzles require both characters working together. The Xen Attacks bonus mission is fun too, so is playing through Half-Life with the Alien Slave 'cheat' on.

My main problem with Xen was the way it took away from the immersion of the game. The best element of HL1 was how it made me feel like I was in Gordon's situation. Aliens attacking, military coming to clean up, and we have to get out. Somewhere along the way the objective changed from escaping...to stopping the alien threat...which I found to be kinda lame.

Xen felt too fake and made up for me to feel like part of the story anymore. It was just about jumping from platform to platform (weird.. these flying alien things don't seem to mind one bit that I'm riding on them...if I were an alien I'd be pissed off), fighting a few baddies along the way.

I played HL1 through once and a one more time up until you get to Xen. OP4 once then another most of the way through. BS once.

sometimes i just play the hazard courses for fun... i know it just sounds dumb even when I say it and do it. but, I cant help myself, its an addiction.

Finished it a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Before then I just stopped playing at Xen. Fun game.

I played through about 60% of Oposing Force and played a little bit if Blue Shift. I barely remember those though.

Blue: I got started on Blue Shift, but I didn't like what they had done to the creatures...**** ew!
