21 years old. $25 / hour (52k equivalent).

Engineering internship, hopefully will get hired full time. :bounce:

I have one year left of school and I go back in a week. UMass Amherst, hell yeah.

18 and on 7.72GBP an hour.

I get paid for sitting on my arse all day. On the odd occasion I get to go out on motorways and look at concrete.

19, and at the moment, nothing. Student. When I get back to uni and get my timetable is when I'll start looking for a job.
Talking about that actually, would I be expected to miss classes/lectures to go to my job, or would they expect me to tell them before hand what days I can't be in and they'd work around that? Or will they just not hire me if my schedule is busy?
I'm thinking of applying for my first job at a computer shop. During my first year of uni I fixed 3 hawt girls' laptops (not paid in sex :(), and think I know more than the average 'computer technology' studier. I shared a flat in first year with one, and they weren't asked to fix any computers.

Dont miss classes or lectures :p especially since you're paying for them :p

They'll probably work it around your schedule.

19 and student so not employed atm.

31 (shush, that just means I'm wiser... :| ) and 70k..which, here in the lovely state of Taxachusetts... isn't all that much.

Where do all you unemployed bums get your money?

I get ?20 per week allowance from my mum for food etc.

student loans / financial aid, some help from family, and i worked the last 2 years of high school + during summers in uni

I actually finished my first year of uni with no loans to my name, and quite a lot of spare cash. Getting a loan for this year though, but a job should let me not use any of my loan. Housing is just stupid expensive to rent this year. And ta for the help Renny baby.

Btw, anyone else read this thread's title as "who's your daddy and what does he do?"

21 student, 300 euros earned so far freelancing.

About a two years ago, 18$ during internship. Which I was only allowed to work for 8 months to allow rotation period for other students.

Then more college at home + finacial aid/help from parents, but no job.

Now that I'm finished school + no money + no vehicle of my own (I sold it for $500), I've decided to become a sailor and am bound for basic, where I'll start out as E3 and be making around $2300 bi-weekly.

From there I will return to college. (yet again)

Saturos just popped a huge boner.

21 / $22/hr internship
Job offer for $60k to $65k salary

Which doesn't mean much when you might just blow it all away to spend 6 years working in a lab and TA'ing students for cheap to make up for grad school fees because you probably didn't do enough undergrad research to get one of those fancy shmancy external fellowships. DARN IT, WHY.

... a little tempted to just take the job though :(

20, $42k annual

I make a few grand on the side refereeing hockey, though - tax free.

I get free home Internet and an iPhone with my job as well

Free home internet(s) is awesome, but iPhones suck.
