List some paranoid things you do, and tell us how paranoid you are!

Some of the paranoid things I do:

Lock the bathroom every time I go in, even if I just wash my hands... Although I piss in public alot.

Look over my shoulder. Alot. Whenever I'm in my house alone, or on an empty street or something, I check everywhere, like spots people could like.. Snipe me from (I know..), or ambush me from and shank me.. I look around alot.

Investigate when something minuscule is out of place, like if I just unloaded my dishwasher, and I see a bowl on the counter, I'll look around the whole house, search every room. I don't mind if I find someone, but it sucks when I don't because then I realize it's my bowl.

When no one is in the house I try to be super quiet, so if there was someone trying to sneak on me, I could hear them. I've honestly got pretty good at it, I can move with deadly speed pretty much anywhere without a single noise. I can type 40 WPM with almost no sound on the keyboard. I can sneak up on people with the ground covered in dry leaves (done it many times). I think because I'm so paranoid I'd be really good doing something that required sneakiness. Although that'd be a rare career to find.

I can't think of anything else right now, but there are more. Lots more.

On a scale from 1-10, I'd say I'm a 8 because I still play guitar super loud when no one is home. I still ALWAYS feel like I'm being watched. Even as I type this, everyone is asleep and I can't help but think someone is right behind me despite checking there about 15 times during this post.

You poor guy. :(

Look at it as a "heightened sense of awareness" rather than "paranoia", and you'll do just fine.

I voted '3' because when I have to stay at a new place with people I don't know, (college/trade school dorm) I'm fairly paranoid when it comes to my belongings.

Oh no, I don't mind, in fact I quite like it, it's very rare people can sneak up and scare me, plus with mild OCD I can notice when things are out of place in case someones trying to f*ck with me, or steal something from me.

or steal something from me.
Oh Jeebus. You have no idea how I hated sharing my dorm with a bunch of miscreants with some of my most prized possessions in the same room. It wasn't so bad when I got to know them, but still. I like to keep most strangers out of arms reach when it comes to my 'stuff'. I've had things stolen from me before, and I wanted to strangle the thief responsible ever since. (I never caught him/her)

Boot camp won't be nearly as bad though since I'll have nothing of sentimental value to worry about being stolen from me. Plus, any would-be thief wouldn't get very far off base anyways without a serious ass-chewing from their superiors. (I love military justice :E)

Probably a 4. I get 'that' feeling alot late at night, like I'm being watched by something less-than-corporeal. Mostly though, my paranoia is limited to constantly checking my door if I'm fapping with people in the house.

I run sometimes in the house, and when I do I ALWAYS have this feeling someone or something is right behind me.

I'm sometimes paranoid, mostly at home, in the dark. no I'm not scared of the dark, just if someone COULD be there D:

At night if I'm wandering around my house I may trick myself into thinking I see things in the shadows, looking at me. There was one particular spot, at the top of the stairs, I walk by them to get to the bathroom and one time I swore I saw a person lying there, watching me. For a while, I would scoot past and not look as if my life depended on it. Then one time, I forced myself to look, and there was nothing. So now I look every time I walk past.

The rest of the spots don't bother me so much. Usually it's windows, at night, like on the front door or the TV room, because those are on the ground level and you could easily be looking in at me and I wouldn't know. But I still act nonchalant when I go by them.

with mild OCD

That one is hard to deal with. My sister has it. She's been 1000% better ever since she started taking medication about 4 years ago.

It doesn't sound like OCD to me though, it sounds like schizophrenia

Im not paranoid.

Unless its about spiders. OH GOD THEYRE ALL OVER ME!

Crawling in your ears, laying billions of microscopic eggs in your fibrous brain tissues. Next time you lay calmly in bed you'll feel a slight tingle just below your brow ridge. Not on the surface of the skin, more akin to the beginnings of a headache. You'll fall gently back asleep and forget it ever happened, only to be awoken by thousands of tiny spider hatchlings crawling out of every oraface and pore in your head. Death will be instant and the pain will only last seconds.

Well, it's not diagnosed or anything, no one else even notices it. I don't even know if I actually have it, but the reason I say I do is because I do these certain things every single day, once a day. I clean out the dishwasher when I get home from school (in summer (now) I do it when I wake up), clear off the counter of recycle/dishes, sweep the kitchen, straighten up everything (put pillows on the sides of the couch, clean up dog toys, etc), then wash anything that was too big to go into the dishwasher. And I do all that every day for the past like.. Forever. (no one cleans up after themselves except me and my mom). And before I go to bed I ALWAYS play atleast half-hour of guitar, no matter how tired I am, I always just have a feeling to do it, helps me sleep or something.

Then there are a few other little things I do, I can't remember them all. Mostly all has to do with cleaning, although it's not like I mop the floors or anything, all the stuff I mentioned takes like 20 minutes after I get out of the shower. I just really feel like I have to do it, but usually if I have something else to do, like go to work/school, I'll just leave it and if it's still there I'll do it after.

Actually, come to think of it, I think I just need to be doing something. It makes me feel useful, I guess.. Hmm. Cause when I, say, mow the grass instead of dishes, I'll come in the house, and sometimes not do the dishes..

Wow, the things you learn about yourself on HL2.net. I just do these things to feel useful! Atleast I know I'm not lazy!

Few odd times I check around. When I go take a dump, I look in the bath. I don't know why. Maybe some ninjas will be in there or something.

lol, I look in my shower when I enter my bathroom, too. lol.

I voted 3, but maybe four. Sometimes when I'm home alone I'll just get the urge to check the entire house, so I get my jo staff and do some checking.

Six, especially when I'm at home alone.

Two. There's nothing to be afraid of but people, and I figure I can take most burglars. I'm not totally comatose though, if I hear a strange sound I'll investigate.

EDIT: I'm diagnosed but mostly recovered OCD. I used to check locks so often that they'd become loose or worn out in a matter of weeks.

Very much.Sometimes i have a feeling that everyone is a part of a conspiracy against me

Finished with my woman 'cause she could not help me with my mind. People think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time.

Back when I was stoned 24/7 I started getting insanely paranoid. Like, at least an 8. Then I cut down a great deal, and it went away almost immediately. My life has been far easier since :D

PS. Mad props for the Sabbath reference Sam :D

There's actually been a few times I was worried that my Dad's new wife was trying to poison me. It's a good thing I make and eat my own food, but there were a few times I've had some of her stuff.

Don't know what I was smoking those days to make me think that.

I will always, every couple of seconds, slap my ass where my wallet is, just to make sure it's still there. I always feel someone in a crowd is staring at me, waiting for the moment they can steal something from me.

I think I'm rather paranoid....though not to the point of being Kath

I keep my wallet in in my side pocket where it's harder to steal and doesn't hurt my ass when I sit down.

if i wasnt concerned about getting shot bc of foolin around with this girl........ it would be like a 4

I'd say a 7, I look over my shoulder every few mins because I always feel like someone is watching me, mostly at night. I do most of what Dog does, except lock the bathroom and being super quiet. D:

Hey I just looked over my shoulder now.

I think I'm a 3 or 4. I feel like somebody is watching me when I'm outside at night. I run into the house because I feel someone behind me. I feel that someone is watching me in my house, but I think it's the goasts.

Edit: I also CAN NOT piss in a public bathroom urinal. I can only do it in the stalls. Last time I pissed in the urinal, I looked over at the guy next to me, and he was staring at my penis with his eyes wide!

He frightened me... a lot.

All you have to do is yell, "LIKE MY PENIS HUH? WANNA TOUCH IT PERV!"

and then you cockslap him.

I gave myself a 7, since i'm always looking behind me every 30 seconds and I'm always checking my wallet. My moms got pissed at me once for hiding my PIN from her too.

That sucks. I had some things stolen from me last summer, and I think my roommate probably did it. There was some stuff that I was keeping in a bottom desk drawer where you would either have to move around my chair or crawl under the bed to get to it.... Just little things went missing that the thief probably wouldn't have expected me to notice. I don't think any random person walking around the halls would have bothered to steal stuff from there.

The police were no help, so I ended up pasting sticky notes all over the inside of my drawer saying not to steal my crap and with weird/crazy little threats... like if some random person had opened that drawer they probably would've thought I was a psychopath. .... And then my roommate disappeared for a few days. After that nothing went missing anymore.

My mom is way more paranoid than I am -- like she tells me to hide my money in places other than my wallet. So one day I opened my wallet and found that I only had $20 when I knew I brought $50, and freaked out for a while until I remembered that she hid it.

Other than the money issues, I get pretty paranoid when I'm home at night. Mostly because I think there's crazy people wandering around my neighborhood at night. Sometimes there are weird crying noises outside the window/door when I'm up late at night. It could be a cat.... or it could be a creepy man trying to lure me out of the house!! Once I heard a tapping/walking/knocking noises outside the door, and the next day my mom found a rubber band on our front porch. Maybe the mailman dropped it.... or maybe there are creepy men walking around with rubber bands at night!!! Who knows?

At home i'm not paranoid at all, because i have a wooden baseball bat and an axe in my cupboard. When i walk around at night or in dodgy areas, or just anywhere, i look around all the time looking for ninjas and chavs and suchlike.

Hi there.

I know it's late ... I was wondering if I could borrow a rubber band.

Dude.... no, stay away you creep!

*hides in the panic room*

I've always thought it would be cool/useful to have a panic room in your house.

yea, unless they got a cutting torch. And if you were someone who needed a panic room, chances are the person would really want to get to you, so chances are they WOULD have a cutting torch.
