How powerful are missiles?

Bit bigger than your average water bomb then huh.

Looks like one of those newer "bunker buster" bombs we've been dropping in Afghanistan and Iraq.

It didn't look that big, probably 1000lb or 2000lb penetration bomb.

Not that big? Did you see the crater it left? I'd say that's definitely a 2000lb bunker buster, which is among the biggest conventional weapons in the U.S. arsenal.

nah its not that big...Wait, saying that makes me cool right?

:P

Cool explosion, but I wonder...what would it be like to have that land on your house.

It depends, define the word "big". That was a pretty standard penetration bomb from the looks of it.

Big to me is a 12,000lb demolition bomb or a moab.

Well, alright...if you wanna get like that, big is a hydrogen bomb. :P

I would hate for you to become Prime Minister, to you, a small skirmish in the middle east would be an all out nuclear strike on Israel. Dropping 22,000lb Grand Slam on the White House would be considered "a friendly tap at the door to the oval office".

I wouldn't wanna be around when he opens the door....

would want to read the instructions before use (ie how to aim it at america) :E

also, note the 'keep out of reach of children' sign on the side just before impact...

I don't think the crater was real. If you notice on the footage, the time stamp is present on the missle explosion but is not present when looking at the crater.

Probably a stationed camera during the explosion and a handheld during the crater scene.

So is this a fuel air bomb or is it something completely different?

No, it is just a standard penetration bomb.

Uh-huh? I was under the impression that Daisy Cutters were relatively new and actually first used on a proper scale in Afghanistan.

someone else: "oh, you're just anti-american because you didnt say american pie"

Is there a special flaming forum in this place?

Every thread has an insult.

I believe I made a remark which refered to stopping the argument. I don't want any getting in the last word. Just go back to missiles and bombs.

Well, not much more to say other then......................................................HEADACHE!
