How to climb that wall ???

Hi freinds
I'm new in this game. After collecting the gravity gun i tried my best to climb that wall to go with the friends.. but no chance. Pls. help.

I'm assuming you're talking about Episode One.
On the right hand side of the wall there is a wire door being help up by three wooden planks. Use the gravity guns secondary function (right hand click) on the planks to pull them towards you. Release them with another right click. Once all three planks are removed the wire door will fall down allowing you to walk up it.

It might help if you gave us some kind of idea which (out of [x]illion) wall your talking about...Perhaps through a screenshot, or chapter title.

Edit: Well you beat me to it..

I took a different approach I just kinda ledge jumped up there..Using said plank and walking up it, then jumping to a different ledge, etc I think...I forgot now

I remeber that bit, I used 2 of the planks to try and create a walkway. Was trying for 5 mins solid, then grabbed the last plank to use as well and just watched the walkway swing down.

I went up around the side and crouch jumped onto the debris lying around, then to the platform. Didn't realize that I could've used the gravity gun until I listened to the commentary.

If you punt (normal fire) the wire door again and again it will eventully break the 3 planks and you can get up that way.

I dont know how i figured it out... i think i was so mezmorized by the cidadel i was stareing at it for so long that alyx finall told me... but i dont rememer.

I thought it was pretty simple if you've played HL2 - they do that stuff all the time when they want to remind you about the zero point manipulator gun.
