How to disable automatic program running?

Well I'm trying to free up some ram, but when I end a process through the ctrl+alt+dlte, it reappears some moment later (itunes is the most notable culprate)

I know there is a way of preventing some programs to auto execute through the "run" program, but I have forgotten the command I need to enter.

Could someone offer me help. cheers

Start>run>msconfig

But I would look in itunes setup first before messing around in there.

go into the services and disable things in there, just be careful what you turn off, google for lists of what should be running, what should never be running (telnet, remote registry) and whats safe to have either way.
