How to get Carmen to give Health Boost

So i've finally got Carmen to like me 100% and get the Health Boost option, yet when ever i call her she says stuff like put pressure on it and rest, but i don't get a health boost. On one occasion my health was flashing red, i ducked behind called her but nothing. Then in a high speed chase again flashing red no heatlh boost. If i can't get her to help then she might aswell meet my shotgun.

I was standing still. I stood still while ringing nothing happened. When i was in the car i stop stopped and rang didn't work.

Carmen is a latino nurse you can date. You can find her on love-meet.net she's a bit of a rip on the whole JLO/Beyonce thing (imo anyhows) in that she's all about looking good and having fine things (though she seems to like strip clubs bizarrely). However if you date her after a while you can get her to give you medical advice, and heal you up. Though tbh I've never bothered with it, because in a firefight you never have the time, and if you're not, a burger or hotdog costs hardly anything and is less hassle. the only NPC 'perks' I've really used are Jacob for the guns, Roman for the occasional taxi and the lawyer girl (whose name escapes me) for losing a 3 star wanted level (kind of makes it too easy in some ways tbh).

I think Dwayne's buddies are the most fun 'perk'. It's hilarious when a car bumps into you and the driver gets sprayed with gunfire from them for 'attacking' you. Also, causing havoc in the Russian district with them is great fun as well.

Dwayne is by far the better. If you save him you get Playboys apartment, the GTA3 outfit and bodyguards and he becomes your friend. Playboy is just a dick and my most satisfying kill yet.
