well thats the questiong?

any one can explain me how to get in that indutry?
as a director atleast?

there are universities where you can study that?

Yes. NYU, UCLA, etc etc.

Becoming a Director isn't something that happens overnight though. Chances are you'll have to write a decent script first.

but in other countrys besides the US ther is too?

and what do I need to enter in something like that?

I figure you need alot of money, and then some great ideas...and probably alot of time.

Guessing though.

You can always start out small. Directing and/or writing TV shows, music videos, and commercials. Then, bump yourself up. Anyone can be a director/writer in this day and age thanks to independent film. Who knows, you make something good, you could get world recognition and a little money.

It's probably easier than ever to get into the industry as a director. Websites like iFilm and YouTube could get you loads of viewers if you create something half decent.

If monkeys like Paul WS Anderson and Uwe Boll can do it...

Kill.

More seriously, have talent and know how to use it.
Many famous directors began in advertising (eg Ridley Scott). Build up experience and a portfolio?

The idea is to either start your own studio and try to get into the advertising business after making some short films (preferably made during a university course of some kind) or apply for a job at a local studio, OR you can apply for funding from you're local government or convince family and friends to help produce your films.

Now if you choose the last option, funding your own films, then its going to be very very hard to get it distributed because the distributor is going to want to try and make some profit of it. In Australia, thats pretty ****ing hard because local films suck and dont make much money, which the exception of rare films like Mad Max or the Matrix which was made here by an American studio.

So its much easier to go through film school, get all the skills, make a few short films while there, all in order to build a portfolio so you can get a job of some kind at a studio that primarily focuses on ads. That way you'll build experience while actually making enough money to live. Also after a certain amount of time you'll be able to make your own short films within the studio as a kind of vanity project after making enough money on ads, for the said studio.

That make sense?

So...

Film school -> Advertising Studio -> Make own films with advertising studio -> Take them to festivals -> earn recognition -> eventually get hired by bigger studios and so on until you conquer the globe with you're mega blockbusters starring this chick and that guy.

Become a truck driver. It worked for James Cameron!

Being able to proof-read wouldn't hurt either.

I guess it's the same principle as getting your band signed.

You have to get a shed loads of scripts and films together and show it to a movie company.

Get into acting. Win yourself a few Oscars and become a bankable name. Then, using your own money, write and direct a film. Preferrably something serious and controversial. Make it about Jesus or something.

You could kill someone, I'm sure they would make a movie about you then....other than that I have no suggestions for you :P

very good grades is required?
and much money too?

btw if I could study in a USA university,I will hav problems since I am a foreigner?whit the visa or any imigration stuff?

well I will like to be director mostly
acting too if is posible but mostly director

I would do some research on some common directors, like Wolfgang Petersen, who was not an American, like yourself. See what other forigen directors have done, that might help.

to be an actor, if you go to school, join the drama club. my high school used to have film criticism but discontinued it this year. for a writer, study creative writing and literature. start an independant screenplay or something and pitch it to a local agent and see what they think.

ridley scot is british and he first studied design in a university

before thinking about movie director I was thinking studing design too,I read some postgraduates collegue you can study comucations (or whatever is called) if you hav a title in art and design
