There must be some hot line I can call or an email I can send, I'm having way too much problems playing source games and the Steampowered.com site is not helping, at all.

All i need is contact info for tech support, seems they are hidding it or something, thanks.

Sadly, there is not link for tech support (except the link for steampowered.com, wich does not provide any help at all).

I can't write to those emails as i'm not looking to get academic licenceing or a cyber café, I only want my game to work.

A 1 800 number is what i'm really looking for, as it'd be damn expensive and probably useless for me to call them in seattle.

use the general info email & tell them u need support.

on the manual that came with HL2 there shud be a number to contact. Look at the back page.

And that number is... ???

I don't think i still have my original hl² packaging, since up to now, I'd only need my steam account to play.

Calling in the us from where I am is way expensive, especially if you talk for a long time (wich is always the case with tech support).

Valve's preferred method of contact for support related issues is through it's 'Support' section on the Steampowered website. The following is stated on the support section:

After searching for the problem you are having, you may click the Ask A Question tab to ask Customer Support for help.

You can contact Valve's customer support staff by creating a support ticket using the following method:

  1. Visit Steam's support site
  2. Enter your problem/query into the search field, for example:

  3. Select the result closest matching your problem, for example:

NOTE: If none of the results match your problem, try altering your search query, If you still canot find a result matching your problem, that doesn't mater just select any result to bring up the 'Ask A Question' tab.
  4. After selecting the result a new tab should appear at the top next to 'Answers':

  5. Selecting this tab should take you to 'Ticket' creation form:

  6. Fill this form out with the relevant details. Once this has been done a new support ticket will have been created and you will be contacted by a member of the Valve customer support team as soon as one is available.

Support tickets are put in a queue, so it could take a while for your query to be responded to, depending on the level of requests pending at the time, however you should usually receive a response fairly quickly as I did when I had an issue with my Steam account.

Sent them a question, thanks a lot for the help to reach them.
