How to make bush?

Im making park to my map and i want to make very-leafy-looking bushes. How? I already tried normal brush with de_chateau/bush texture added to it but they look cubic... I clipped it bit but it still looks cubic... And how to make them non-solid so you could walk thru them like real bushes?
 
use models. or otherwise make sprites, it is perhaps easier to do...
 
If you're mapping for HL2 there's a ... I believe you'll find it if you search for grass and red or red and grass, hmm. Anyway, it has randomized sprites on it (aka, grass/bushes). It looks good ingame and it is possible to do you own. I believe I saw a tutorial over at hl 2 world.com

Might not be what you want, but it's still good info to have.

Edit; If you want a nonpassable but goodlooking bush just have a player_clip brush in the area you want to block and use sprites/models as said above.
 
Im making for CS:S... But the bushes are not important... I add trees and benches and fountain... thats enough...

do normal sprites size correctly for distance, because when I had a light bloom one going it stay the same size on screen no matter the distance, or did I do something wrong
 
If you want a sprite to change size based on distance, use the "Glow" render mode.
