How to open GCF files?

Hi, I'm looking for a program that opens GCF files, but NOT GCFScape. GCFscape requires Microsoft .Net files which made my PC sluggish and take long to boot. Does anyone know of any alternatives? I've searched around and couldn't find anything.

There is a program called Steam Dump It. Some people are suspicious of it. Because you have to log into Steam to use it, some people think it might steal your password.

GCFScape and this seem to be the only alternatives.
