Is there any program to overclock memory? I have an Asus A8V Deluxe and when i go in by bios there is no where to change the frequency for the ram. When i go in memory config i see a whole bunch of things listed. This is what is listed:
CAS
TRC
TRFC
TRCD
TWR
TRWT
TRAS
TRP
TWCL

I was to make my memory run at these timings: 3,3,3,8

Thanks

what does it say next to this?
CAS=? 3
TRC=? 3
TRFC=? 3
TRCD=? 8

cause that is where u put those 4 #'s

It's usualy not a good idea to overlock your memory. Offten causes your computer to not boot up at all, like in my case. :D

Its all in CLK, for example on TRC it starts from 7CLK and goes to like 14 or 15 CLK i think. On what CLK do i set it to so that it runs at those timings? The reason im overclocking is because my memory isnt running at 200mhz like its supposed too because the timings of the memory are not the same im trying to make them the same so it runs at 200mhz right now its running at 157mhz. I tried to set the divider to run at ddr400 but it didnt help.

ok, let's go back whatkind of memory u got??

ABIT AV8
AMD64 3500+
Koolance exos AL (cpu/chipset)
BFG GF6800 GT OC
Corsair TWINX1024-3200XL (DDR400)

They are both Samsung PC 3200 512MB

my is to samsung corsair bought all of samsungs mem and mine is 2.2.2.5
anyway..

this is where u put those #'s

CAS latency = 3
RAS to CAS = 3
RAS active time = 8
RAS precharge = 3

and try to change your DRAM command rate to 1T if that gives problems change to 2T
everything u see in your memory BIOS list, the lower everthing is the faster it will work, so if u can try to set everything to the lowest.

ABIT AV8

Lian li pc 65

In the memory config I only have Cas and its set to 3.0 and everything else is labeled this:
TRC
TRFC
TRCD
TWR
TRWT
TRAS
TRP
TWCL
Also its all in CLK, if i try to change something its going to ask me like 7CLK,8CLK etc.

Check your user manual for your mobo and see what it explains about

TRC
TRFC
TRCD
TWR
TRWT
TRAS
TRP
TWCL

I figured it out, I made it 3,4,4,8 but still no help. I'm thinking theres something wrong with the mobo, maybe one slot is receiving less voltage than the other or something. I will call Asus Tech Support tommorow and see what they say. Thanks for the help guys!

Also i did a memory bandwidth test with Sandra and i got 3837 MB/S is this good? Or is it to low?

oh and just so you know, if you set something too low, and your computer wont boot up, just remove the battery on your motherboard and put it back in (youll have to reset your bios, but its better than not having a computer right?)
