I have a sennheiser PC160 headset and a soundblaster X-FI sound card.
I do not know if this is a problem or is normal, but it never happened before or with my on board sound. Every time I turn the mic of my headset in I can hear what my mic is recording trough my headset, like an echo. It's quite annoying I have tried totally uninstalling he drivers, even down to cleaning the registry of everything that has to do with creative and reinstalling but it still happens.

Now maybe this is normal, but I liked the old way better, I could record sound just fine trough my mic but there would be no echo, and this happens no matter what even if I'm just on my desktop and have the mic on.

Thnx in advance for any answers.

Hmm, I'm not quite sure. I remember having the same problem with a mic I had. It wasn't on a headset but I was wearing headphones and I heard the same thing. I got a new headset and it doesn't do it anymore.

I'm sure theres a way you can fix it without buying a new mic. Goof with the sound settings.

Dutch ftw.

Thank you for your answers, but it did not help. When I have anything but the microphone select for recording, my pc does not record anything, so if I have what you hear selected or line-in. The only way to record something is to have the mic selected.

Oh right, then go to 'volume' of 'Spraak afspelen', then mute 'microfoon'. If it's not in the list, click Opties > Eigenschappen and check Microfoon.

It works!!!!

In any case I love you, and if I was a woman I would love you in even more ways.
