How to shine your shoes?

Anyone know how to get your shoes extremely shiny, like military parade type shiny?

tonnes of shoe polish and a shoe buffer? why would you want that shiny of a shoe anyway

Clean the shoe, apply the polish with a brush, leave until just tacky..spit on the shoe then polish in circular movements using a fine cloth.
Depending on how smooth/quality the shoe is this proccess may have to be repeated several times.

Crazy this but I do actually know how to shine shoes up. Concentrate around the toe area; never try to shine above the crease of your shoe. It will simply crack when you walk. Another area is around the heal.
Plenty of polish leave it to dry, approx five minutes, then using spit start to buff using one finger in a cloth. Do this at least three times and you should be able to see your face in them.
