how to use fakefactory's garrysmod modells in cinematic mod?

how to use the alyx modells from fakefactory released for garrys mod in cinematic mod? i tried to copy and rename the models in character pimper's repository. but after installing them the modell will be invisible in game.

i guess some "materials" are missing so i copied the hole alyx folder from fakefactorys garrys mod package to /Materials/Models/ like i did for garrys mod. but this didn't help.

anyone who knows how to copy alyx modells from garrysmod to cinamtic mod?

where are you getting the Alyx model from GMod?

why do you want to? they look like they're the same model, besides which the pack is made for GMod not FakeFactory.

in cm8 i have only 3 models - in older versions there were many more. so i thought i could import the models from gmod to cm.

copy the models from older versions then.

that would mean to download the older versions first - much more than to download only the models. so you don't know how to copy models from fakefactory/garrys mod to fakefactory/cm?

no because the model you downloaded is meant to be used in GMod not FakeFactory.

but the format of the models are exactly the same, it's only a matter of copying the files into the right places. the 6 model file are not the problem but there are many matirial files that have to be on the right place.

go to www.wunderboy.org and look for the tool which tells you what materials a model uses.
run it, then copy the textures which it outputs.
