How too ban someone in DoD:S

sorry if this is in the wrong section, but i was just wondering how to ban people on my server e.g team wounders and team killers any help would be great

If you're not using server mods, in console: ban (name)

If that isn't safe enough for you, you can go: banip (ip)

Works better for ppl with multiple steamid's.

if your not hosting the server on your computer you will need to use the 'rcon' password that you created. when you go into the console in dod:s type rcon_password (your password) then for ever command you must have 'rcon' in front of it for example (rcon_ban(name))

It's better to get a plugin like Mani installed. It gives you greater control over punishments and banning. Sometimes consoole banning is ineffective against multiple lamers.

Damnit, when will people learn about "dynamic IPs". If you ban someone by IP, then they just reconnect to the net and get back in. Plus, if I'm on the same ISP, I connect to the net, pick up his old IP, and won't be able to access the server.

You are able to ban by steam ids for a reason.

Isn't it in console:

ban id time

So type "status" in the console which will bring all the players up and a list of their IDs:

ban 7 120

Ban for 120 minutes, or have no time for permanent.

usually only dsl providers are dynamic and cable providers are static.
