how well could this setup run hl2?

also is the 9550 a dx7, or dx8 card?

are you positive it is dx9? and also, will the settings be at low, medium, or high

It depends how much of a framerate you like. I think low to medium should be doable.

Im pretty sure that it is because wasn't the 9500/9700 the first set of graphics cards to support dx9. And you should be able to run it at medium.

my freind has teh same card amd athalon 3000 512 ram and it recommends med. but he plays all high and it runs at good fps

thanks for the info. do you know if he puts water on reflect all, or just on medium?

i think its just reflect world but theres not much of a difference

if im not mistaken, the 9 in 9500 all the way to 9800 means DX9. the 7000 is dx7 and the 8700 is dx8. the x800 were ment to be directx10 but that doesnt exist yet
