How will my system run HL2?..(Odd Setup)

How would this run HL2...
Asus A7M266-D Mobo
Dual Athlon MP 1900 Procs (1 watercooled, 1 air cooled for tests)
512mb pc2700 ram (will this work in a pc2100 board? does it just clock down?)
32x CD-rom
IDE 80GB Seagate Barracuda 7,200 RPM 8mb cache
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro (w/copper ram heatsinks)
Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1
..I know 1.6ghz meets minimum specs, but that doesn't really give thought to whether it will run HL2 in Low, Medium, or High.

Well to give you a comparison, i'm running this.

Athlon 1800xp
512 DDR 266mhz
60 GIG 5400RPM
Powercolor 9600XT Bravo

and on the Half-Life Stress test i average 51fps on Medium settings.

So really i think you should be around that or higher, so yer medium settings i would think

( note medium is what it sets it to on my computer)

remember the stress test is just a video hardware test, not a test of real ingame hl2 performance.

Yeah, it will downclock to PC2100.

You should be pretty close to everything near high. Certain CPU intensive tasks will probably need to be turned down (ie shadows and physics). Pure graphical features like textures and geometry will probably be at maximum settings.

Too bad no dual CPU optimizations, but then again there are better features to be implemented
