...in a similar way to Half-Life 1? That is, with a cliffhanger? Perhaps more than a couple of choices this time around, and each lead to an ending that poses more questions than it answers? If Valve intend to make a HL3 (which I'm sure they probably do), I'm guessing that they will end the game this way. We'll be left again, waiting at the very least another 6-7 years to find out what happens next.
I think they would break the Half-Life style if they were to give a definitive happy ending, so I'd say we can safely assume Gordon might narrowly save the world, but won't be getting the girl and riding away into the sunset.
The game is certain to have at least a couple of endings... I wonder if this will be chosen in a similar way to HL1, or if what you do during the game affects the outcome? In my opinion, the latter would be better.
