How you open console?

As title says, how you open console?

Rightclick on game in Steam -> Set launch options -> -console
Start up the game, console comes up automatic. Now write;
bind \ +toggleconsole and console is now on §(right to the left of 1). But if you have an american keyboard, bind it to § instead.

Which needs to be enabled in Options->Keyboard->Advanced.

You could. If you have an american keyboard. But FYI, just doing that won't get the console up on an european keyboard in HL2 or any games based on the source engine.
